Who it suits
Remich sits on the Moselle river, which forms the border with Germany. It's the largest town on Luxembourg's short wine route and has a proper riverside promenade lined with cafes and Riesling tastings. It suits wine-focused travellers, cyclists on the Moselle path (flat and easy for 42 km along the river), and anyone taking a river cruise on the Princesse Marie-Astrid.
It doesn’t suit anyone chasing dramatic scenery — the Moselle valley is pleasant but low-key. It also doesn’t suit visitors without a car who want to explore multiple wine villages, since the bus is infrequent between them.

Hotels run 90-150 EUR, including the Saint-Nicolas and the Domaine La Foret. Weekends and August peak; midweek shoulder-season stays can drop below 100 EUR.
Walkable: the Moselle promenade, several tasting rooms (Domaine Saint-Martin at Remich, Caves Krier Frères), and the town square. The German town of Nennig is 10 minutes across the bridge. Riverboat tours run April to October from the Remich pier, and the Caves Saint-Martin offer underground cellar tours.
